How long do auto shock absorbers last?

Do we need to routinely change shock absorbers after 10 or 20 years? How long do auto shock absorbers last?
Depends greatly on the quality of the roads you use. 10 years is really treading the outer limit of shock life, assuming the car is a daily driver. The real problem is that they go bad slowly over a long period so you don't notice how bad they are until the new ones go on and you think %26quot;I should have done this years ago.%26quot; Good Luck. How long do auto shock absorbers last?
They will last a long time. Ive had them last over 100,000 miles. Most people don't change them unless there are having problems with them. The car bouncing excessive after a bump.
