am thinking of changing my trucks shocks there the original ones
i have a 1983 dodge power ram 4x4 1/2 ton pickup truck .
my question is how hard is it to change them do i need a mechanic?
or can i do them my self , i took a look at them i saw them bolted on do i have to lift the truck to change them?

You can do it! The shocks don't hold the truck up. So if you can access the shocks, you don't have to jack it up. I f you do, be sure it is safe before getting under it. Also I suggest that you use a WD-40 type of product and soak the nuts and bolts 24 hours prior to tackling the job.
